Explore Cardiology Clinical Trials

If you are being treated at Parkview Heart Institute, you may have the opportunity to receive treatment that is only available a few places in the world. New medicines, technology and medical protocols are available to individuals with heart conditions, and other health concerns, who meet established requirements.

These opportunities are possible because the Parkview Heart Institute works closely with the Parkview Research Center, the area’s only hospital-based clinical research facility.

Through the Parkview Research Center, individuals throughout northeast Indiana, southern Michigan and northwest Ohio can take part in significant medical studies designed to help gain U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approval for emerging ways to treat diseases and medical conditions.

In the past, individuals have participated in studies that explored the effectiveness of implantable defibrillators, carotid stents and medicines used to treat chest pain, heart attack, heart failure, high cholesterol and stroke.

There are many reasons why an individual may consider taking part in a clinical research study. If you or someone you know is thinking about participating in a study, contact (260) 266-5571.
