Physician Executive, Behavioral Health Service Line
Ahsan Mahmood joined Parkview in September 2020 as chief medical officer of the Parkview Behavioral Health Institute. He now serves as physician executive of the behavioral health service line, providing clinical and administrative oversight of all behavioral health entities.
Dr. Mahmood has published articles on neuropsychiatric conditions. His clinical interests include neurocognitive disorder, psychiatric aspects of endocrine conditions, healthcare policy and optimization of healthcare costs and outcomes. Dr. Mahmood is board certified in Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology and Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Mahmood completed his medical degree at the Dow University of Health Sciences. He completed his psychiatry residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he also served as Chief Resident for the program. He has also served as the chief medical officer of a large community mental health center in west central Indiana.
