Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer/Virtual Care, Nursing
Michelle Charles leads the Nursing Informatics and Virtual Care departments and has direct operational leadership for the Digital Care Center. Michelle is responsible for leveraging current and emerging technologies to drive transformation. She also develops strategy and leads implementation of systems and solutions in support of nursing and clinical best practice. Additionally, she acts as a change agent for Parkview leaders and clinicians to promote new technologies and drive innovation. Michelle has been a nurse for 35 years and has extensive experience in leadership and technology.
Michelle earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, her Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Southern Mississippi, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is board certified in nursing informatics by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
