Being able to schedule appointments quickly and easily, when and where fits your schedule, saves time and eases stress. Parkview MyChart users have access to convenient scheduling for wellness exams, annual flu shots and even routine preventive screenings. And while preventive care may not always be top of mind, screenings are important in detecting and treating health conditions early, should the need arise. Parkview MyChart makes it easier than ever to schedule and receive reminder notifications for important preventive screenings including breast cancer, colorectal cancer and coronary artery disease screenings.

Breast cancer screening

Knowing your personal risk for breast cancer can help you decide about screening. Your provider can help you make a plan based on your risk. Routine mammogram scheduling via Parkview MyChart is readily available to women age 40 or older and no breast issues or no history of breast issues and it has been one year since your last mammogram.

Colorectal cancer screening

Your risk for colorectal cancer gets higher as you get older. Experts recommend starting screening at age 45 for people who are at average risk. Talk with your doctor about your risk and when to start and stop screening. Colonoscopy scheduling via Parkview MyChart is open to those age 45 or older and no bowel issues or history of bowel issues.

Coronary artery disease screening (HeartSmart CT Scan)

Knowing your risk can help you and your doctor talk about whether to take steps to lower your risk of heart attack and stroke. A heart-healthy lifestyle is important for everyone. You and your doctor can work together to decide what is best for you.

HeartSmart CT Scan is recommended for men at age 40 and women at age 45 and is available to schedule via Parkview MyChart.

If you are due for one or more of the above recommended preventive screenings, use your Parkview MyChart account to schedule a convenient time and location that works well for your schedule.

Here are the quick and easy steps you need to get started:

  • Open the Parkview MyChart app or log in.
  • Click or tap Visits from the home screen.
  • Look for the screening options under the Tell us why you are coming in.
