Package programs give you easier access to Parkview’s award-winning care. Employers have the option of offering these programs as employee benefits, so you and your family can live healthier. Ortho Package Program

With the Ortho Package Program, you can get total hip or knee replacement surgery at low or no cost to you. These surgeries are performed by the board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic specialists of Ortho Northeast (ONE). And because the procedures are minimally invasive, you’ll be more likely to return home the same day as your surgery.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

To participate, your employer must contract with Parkview Health for the Ortho Package Program. Check your employee benefits plan or contact your company’s HR department to confirm your eligibility.

Can I opt out of the Ortho Package Program and use my regular insurance instead?

Your employer offers the Ortho Package Program as a preferred benefit and encourages all eligible employees to take advantage of it. If you have questions about your options, contact your company’s HR department.

What’s included in the program?

The following services are covered as part of the Ortho Package Program:

Presurgery joint education class (available in person or online)
Guidance from a surgical care coordinator to help schedule your surgery and prepare you every step of the way
Minimally invasive robotic or outpatient surgery at a Parkview facility
Facility, surgeon professional, and anesthesiology professional charges
24-hour concierge phone line for questions anytime during your recovery
Individualized nursing support

Will I have any out-of-pocket costs for my surgery?

There is no patient copay for the surgeon and facility fee when your surgery is performed through the Ortho Package Program. This is one of the key benefits your employer is offering to support your care.

Is physical therapy included in the program?

Physical therapy is not included in the Ortho Package Program. Your therapy visits will be ordered by your surgeon and billed through your primary insurance. You will still receive the same high-quality therapy services guided by your surgeon’s treatment plan.

What if I need testing or specialist visits before my surgery?

Any presurgical services—such as an initial specialist consultation, lab work, MRIs, or other diagnostic imaging—will be ordered as needed and billed to your regular insurance. These services are not part of the Ortho Package Program.

Do I have to go to a specific location for my surgery?

Yes. Your surgery will be scheduled at one of three Parkview facilities based on your surgeon and care needs:

How do I get started?

Your journey begins with an initial consultation with an ONE specialist. If the specialist determines that surgery is the right course of treatment, you’ll be connected with a surgical care coordinator who will schedule your surgery and guide you through every step, from presurgery education to recovery.

Will I need to stay overnight in the hospital?

In most cases, no. Surgeries performed through the Ortho Package Program are outpatient procedures, meaning you’ll likely go home the same day as your surgery, allowing you to recover comfortably at home.

Who are the surgeons performing these procedures?

Your surgery will be performed by the board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic specialists of ONE—a team with over 60 years’ experience providing world-class orthopedic care in northeast Indiana.

What kind of support will I have after surgery?

After your surgery, you’ll have access to the following:

A 24-hour concierge phone line so you can get answers to your questions anytime
Individualized nursing support to help guide your recovery
A follow-up call from your ortho transitional care coordinator within two days of surgery

When does my coverage under the Ortho Package Program end?

Your Ortho Package Program coverage concludes after your postoperative follow-up visit(s) with your surgeon. These visits are included as part of the program to ensure that your recovery is on track. Any care needed beyond these visits, including treatment for complications, will be billed to your regular insurance.
