Kindness is life-changing

Last Modified: 7/23/2020

The challenges we face during this pandemic continue to propel us forward, to come together and help where needed. Our lives have been shaken. But as a community, even in uncertain times, we find ways to come together. Generosity is a common ground that has a ripple effect.

Some create that ripple effect generously through their time as a volunteer. Some because they want better for everyone. And others give because they know the feeling kindness can have on a person. No matter the reason you give or consider giving, you can make a difference in the lives of Parkview Health patients and their families.

From our co-workers to your community members, you will hear real stories on what compels their gifts of comfort and healing for Parkview patients. Dr. Diana Jackson-Davis, director of Parkview Health’s Diversity and Inclusion department, shares how generosity created a ripple effect that changed her life, helping her reach her dreams.

Our patients and donors are the reason we seek to inspire generosity and have an impact on the health of our communities. Parkview Foundations’ Why I Give campaign is a great opportunity to share your story privately with us and, if able, give back in support of the Greatest Need Fund.

This fund encompasses a wide range of patient care needs to give higher quality, compassionate healthcare. We encourage you to come together across all our communities to share your story of why you give. Your gifts to Parkview Foundations’ Greatest Need fund provides:

  • Funding to programs related to patient care experiences, such as patient screenings, medication assistance programs, and temporary lodging for families whose loved ones are receiving treatments during COVID-19.
  • The ability to invest in cutting-edge research and innovation with the sole goal of new treatments and improved patient outcomes.
  • Life-changing, ongoing training opportunities for our nurses, Parkview co-workers, and area students who are pursuing their nursing degrees or EMT certifications to support our future generations.

You can also make an impact by starting your peer-to-peer fundraising page to join the Parkview culture of generosity. We hope you will share with us why you give and inspire a ripple of generosity.
