Generosity in honor of Matt

Cancer, Community

In June 2019, Randi Coney’s husband, Matt, was diagnosed with colon cancer. While he was receiving treatment at Parkview Cancer Institute, Randi organized tote donations for patients receiving chemotherapy as a gesture of hope.

While Matt, sadly, did not beat his battle with the disease, his family continues to be moved by the care they received from Parkview Cancer Institute providers like Joseph McCollom, DO, and the Palliative Oncology team. Just over a year after Matt’s passing, Randi decided to do something to honor his fight by gifting those who are currently in their own. With the help of her Thirty-One community, she packaged small gifts into bright totes to lift the spirits of those getting treatment.
