In backyards across the area, gardeners are starting to harvest the ripe green, yellow, red and orange vegetables they’ve been nurturing for weeks. With all these tasty, locally grown options, it’s a great time to expand your recipe repertoire to include a few new seasonal dishes.

We scoured our favorite blog sites to find a collection of prescriptions including zucchini noodles (zoodles), spaghetti squash, spiralized sweet potato and beet ribbons. Each is rich in beneficial nutrients and promises bold flavors. Swapping these earthy staples with traditional or whole wheat pasta, means less sugar, less carbohydrates and more fiber.
