3 ways to get fit at Parkview Field

Everyone loves a great day (or evening) at the ballpark, but there’s even more than great baseball to enjoy at Parkview Field. The Parkview Field concourse is open for walkers and runners each day from 7 a.m. until sunset*, and we think it’s the perfect spot to get a workout in!

We asked Tyler Palmer MA, CSCS, USAW, Parkview Sports Medicine Performance Training, to provide three different workout options, from beginner to advanced.

 

  • Walk or jog one lap around the concourse. Continue walking or jogging in between each exercise.
  • Stop behind home base and do 10 squats
  • Go down the stairs in section 108/109, then up through section 107/108
  • Repeat for three laps or 30 minutes

 

  • Walk or jog one lap around the concourse. Continue walking or jogging in between each exercise.
  • Stop at the right field foul pole and do 10 squats
  • Stop at the left field foul pole and do 10 squats
  • Stop at home plate and do five lunges on each leg
  • Repeat for three laps or 45 minutes

 

  • Walk or jog one lap around the concourse. Continue walking or jogging in between each exercise.
  • Stop at the left field foul pole and do five lunges
  • Stop behind center field and do 10 step-ups: step up onto a bench or seat and then back down, alternating the leg you lead with
  • Stop at the left field foul pole and do five lunges
  • Stop at home plate and do 20 squats.
  • Repeat for three laps or one hour

* The ballpark closes three hours before scheduled events.
