Calling all middle schoolers! Do you like to hang out with friends? Do you like to learn about farming and growing your own food? Would you like to cook the foods you have grown and explore how to nourish your body with the food you eat? Do you like to win prizes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, join Farm Friends, a summer farm-to-fork club for middle schoolers. Students who are entering the 6th - 9th grade for the 2024 – 2025 school year are eligible to attend. You do not have to attend all classes to be a part of the club. Maximum of 20 students. Registration is required before June 11.

Salads are refreshing and nourishing for summer, and it’s possible to pack all five food groups into a salad to make it tasty and satisfying. Lydia Hall, RDN, LD, community outreach dietitian, Parkview Center for Healthy Living, will teach us how to incorporate in-season summer produce into mouth-watering salads.
