It’s Grow Time! Get Your Garden Started Early with the Parkview Greenhouse
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at growing your own food? Maybe you love tending your garden each summer and would like to get a head start this year. Regardless of your experience level, join Kristen Canan-Smith, greenhouse farmer, Parkview Health, at the Parkview Greenhouse for a morning or evening class focused on planting healthy seeds while adding in a little sunshine, warmth and community to make your garden grow just a little bit better!
How it works:
-
We’ve got you: All supplies for planting along with fruit, vegetable and herb seeds will be provided. (You are welcome to bring your own seeds as well.)
-
Plant your seeds: Plant your chosen seeds. Questions regarding planting and growing are welcome.
-
Germination: Leave your seed starts at the greenhouse, where our team will lovingly care for them until it is safe for you to plant them outside.
-
Pick up your young plant: After the frost-free date (the week of May 13), return to the Greenhouse to pick up your plant starts, and our team will be available to answer any questions.
Don’t have a backyard or garden? No problem! Grow bag containers with soil are provided.
