Anyone who has worked in, visited or been treated in a health care setting, knows that it takes a lot of people to make these facilities run smoothly. From the well-kept grounds and buildings, to the compassionate smile that greets you when you walk through the door, there are more than 14,000 individuals serving the community through their positions at Parkview Health.
Each role has a hand in keeping the wheels turning and providing exceptional service. Some of these positions are obvious – the nurses, techs and physicians. While others share their talents behind the scenes, like our schedulers, billing and marketing teams. It takes everyone. It is each of the 14,000 men and women, collectively, who make Parkview a place of hope and healing.
Meet Fayth
Serving others has always been at the heart of Fayth Haines’ career. So, when leadership from the new Parkview Cancer Institute (PCI) approached her about creating a concierge program for patients in 2018, she knew it was the right fit. Concierge services at PCI is about meeting people at the door as they come in to their first visit, and truly encircling them in support all the way through their journey.
Fayth has helped grow the program from two to seven team members, as PCI remains committed to expanding their offerings to meet the needs of their patients and their loved ones.
Spend just a few minutes with Fayth, and it’s clear that empathy is her gift, and she treasures the opportunity to recognize the gifts in others as their paths cross every day. Her and the other concierge team members are always ready, constantly observing and assessing the needs of PCI patients and guests. Fayth says her favorite part of her job is being out on the floor with the team and engaging with people. “It’s about walking away knowing we made a little difference, whether that was listening to a story or encouraging them through treatment,” she shared. “And really, that’s our mission at PCI; to help patients see that there’s still hope and people who really care and will walk beside them.”
