It’s opening day for the TinCaps at Parkview Field and we can’t wait to take in some games, see the fireworks and root for our home team all summer long. Part of the fun for us is the opportunity to meet members of the community and spread the facts on our wellness initiatives.
At most home games, you can find us at the Parkview Health Dugout – a counter-enclosed area located under the suite-level overhang on the third-base side of the concourse – and learn from Parkview experts. The Dugout can include any of the following activities:
- Games that incorporate educational information
- A craft or game for children
- Free health screenings
- Demonstrations
- Giveaways or prizes
The schedule of on-site experts varies, but typically includes professionals from the Parkview Heart Institute, Stroke Center, Parkview Behavioral Health, Community Nursing, Home Health & Hospice, Cancer, Seniors Club, Center for Wound Healing, Parkview Lab, Pediatric Rehab, or another specialty, on any given game day.
We’re kicking off the season with Parkview Trauma Centers at the Parkview Health Dugout, beginning at 6:05p.m. tonight. Stop by to learn about trauma prevention and tips for a safe and healthy summer. The trauma team will be followed by Parkview Sports Medicine on April 10.
