The season is packed with treats and tailgates and tons of excuses to get together and toast with your favorite people.  Visit Fort Wayne conveniently corralled all of the places you can go in October for frights, fruits and festivals. So, grab a comfy sweater and some good company and go take in all the fun fall has to offer.

You-pick pumpkin patch and pick your own apple orchard are located within our nursery in New Haven, Indiana, just 15 minutes from downtown Fort Wayne. Early season apples are available and ready to be picked inside the orchard store beginning mid-August.

Amazing Fall Fun hosts the largest Corn Maze in Northeastern Indiana, spanning more than 12 acres. This giant corn maze is split into two different phases, taking 20-30 minutes and 40-50 minutes to complete a piece. Bring your friends and family to one of the largest pumpkin patches with over 75 different types of pumpkins and gourds. All the pumpkins are great for painting, decorating and carving up fun for the family. You can take a hay ride through the beautiful Indiana countryside. The ride takes you around the pumpkin patch and through the cornfields. Along this 20 minutes ride you can see all sorts of critters and woodland animals. There is also corn box, Hay Mountain, corn hole, tetherball and wheelbarrow racing.

Cedar Creek Produce is a small fruit and vegetable farm emphasizing on quality and freshness. We have strawberry, red and black raspberry, blueberry and blackberry u-pick and pre picked available in season. We also grow all the summer vegetables and melons and delicious sweet corn. Brown eggs, maple syrup, honey and greenhouse veggies.

Fright Night Downtown

Fort Wayne's most anticipated event of the Halloween season is bigger than ever! The annual Fright Night Downtown is October 17th. Kick things off at 2pm with activities at the Allen County Public Library culminating with a Zombie Walk through the streets of downtown Fort Wayne. This night full of tricks and treats is fun for ALL AGES, some activities have a small admission price, and others are free.

Halloween Haunt at the Community Center

1pm - 4pm

Downtown Fort Wayne becomes a haven for monsters, ghosts, vampires and zombies on Saturday afternoon. Bring your little goblins to the Community Center for an afternoon of frightful fun. There will be a minimal charge for games for kids and the whole family. You will be able to enjoy free face painting and a free snack. Fort Wayne Youth Theatre will be performing at 2:00 pm. Concessions will be available for sale. Admission is FREE

Lantern Tours at the Old Fort
Saturday, October 17, 2015
6:30pm - 10:30pm

As you enter the front gate of the Old Fort you pass to another time when the Miami, Delaware, soldiers of the garrison, and Lieutenant, Philip Ostrander, lived and died. Tour the Old Fort after dark, your way lit only by a candle and your guide. Interpreters answer your questions and present the Old Fort as it was in the early 1800s.

Refreshments available at the Bake Sale in the Modern Building.

Admission: $2. Children under 12 free.
