The Parkview Organizational Development team provides leadership training and development programs for leaders, beginning at the supervisor level, across the Parkview Health system. This internal training resource supports culture-specific education and development aligned with the Parkview Mission and Vison.
We subscribe to a competency-based model, meaning we focus on specific skills and experience that can be observed and measured. We help our leaders gain command of these competencies in order to drive success for the system and populations we serve.
The Parkview Education Center (or PEC) serves as the home base for the OD team. This dynamic group of seven Organizational Development Specialists and the department secretary is located on the first level of PEC. The OD specialists design and deliver various trainings to our leaders and leadership teams across the system, as well as one-on-one performance coaching in the Leadership Education and Development room, or the LEAD room for short.
This space can accommodate up to 80 people comfortably. The welcoming room is equipped with a projector and screen and features a rear whiteboard wall for interactive learning and brainstorming.
One of the primary programs the OD team supports is New Leader Academy, a two-and-a-half-day training held in the LEAD space. This curriculum is required within the first 60 to 90 days of an individual moving into a leadership role for the system.
We also offer Foundations, a full day training session that includes several assessment tools to help new leaders gain more information about their strengths and how to utilize them in their day-to-day functions.
Our newest development program, The Parkview Leadership Institute (PLI), features specific leadership competencies constructed for those at the supervisor, manager and director leader levels at Parkview Health.
With the various leadership programs, the Organizational Development team serves about 350 individual leaders and about 250 teams on an annual basis.
