Advancing cancer care through innovative clinical trials and research
Clinical trials are a powerful tool to help doctors and researchers discover better ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Patients benefit from these discoveries through access to impactful new therapies, cutting-edge technologies and surgical techniques, and treatment options that may not be widely available.
The Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute (PFCI) works closely with the Parkview Mirro Center to bring innovative clinical trials and cancer research to our patients. This work includes studies focused on new treatments, surgical technologies and techniques, and investigational medications and devices, all with the goal of improving care and outcomes.
If you are a PFCI patient, your case will be reviewed by the Tumor Board—a multidisciplinary group of specialists who come together to discuss each patient’s diagnosis and treatment options—and it’s here that the team will also consider whether a clinical trial may be a good fit for you. Talk with your care team if you’d like to learn more or have questions.
