Clinical Trials

What are clinical trials?

Clinical trials can give you more options for your treatment. These scientific studies, performed in partnership with the Mirro Center for Research and Innovation, are designed to find ways to improve prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of cancers through impactful new therapies, cutting-edge technologies, surgical techniques, and investigational drugs. If any of these studies are right for you, the Tumor Board can review your case to help determine eligibility.

Groundbreaking technology in neuropathy prevention

PFCI is the first cancer institute in Indiana, and one of only 15 in the United States, to offer access to a novel device called Lilac through our clinical trial. Patients undergoing cancer treatment at PFCI will be offered early access to this portable compression technology designed to help prevent chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, a damaging side effect that can cause pain, numbness, tingling, and loss of feeling in the hands and feet.
