Meet the Program Director: Mychelle Owen, DO, FACOOG
Dear residency candidate,
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Parkview Health Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. As Program Director, I am honored to lead a residency program that is deeply committed to developing confident, compassionate, and highly skilled OB/GYN physicians. Our program is built on a strong foundation of clinical excellence, academic rigor, surgical training, and a culture that truly values teamwork and mentorship. At Parkview Health, our residents train in a high-volume, community-based setting that offers the breadth and complexity of pathology and high acuity necessary to prepare graduates for any career path, whether that includes general obstetrics and gynecology practice, fellowship training, hospital-based care, or academic medicine. Our residents are active participants in patient care from day one, gaining progressive autonomy under the guidance of experienced faculty who are invested in their growth.

- Comprehensive obstetric training, including high-risk and complex maternal care
- Robust gynecologic surgical experience with minimally invasive and traditional approaches
- Dedicated rotations in subspecialties including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, and Urogynecology
- A strong didactic curriculum including a robust SIMS program with protected education time
