Student Assistance Programs

Parkview Student Assistance recognizes that students of all ages are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom.  Circumstances may demand more than everyday abilities and resources.  In challenging times, working with a qualified counseling professional can help make a more successful student.

Students are able to meet one-on-one with a counselor to discuss a variety of problems.

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Relationships and Family
  • Identity Issues and Stress
  • Anger and Bullying

Group counseling sessions are also available for a small group of students lead by a counselor.  Group counseling can provide a supportive and encouraging environment in which to discuss and work through issues they may be having.  Counselors are also available on a consultative level to allow students who may be concerned about another student.

Critical Incident Stress Debriefing can be utilized for students.  It is important to involve these students in a debriefing session to alleviate stress about the incidents such as death of a peer or traumatic incidents.

Contact our Employee Assistance office at 260-266-8060 or 1-800-721-8809 to learn more about having a counselor placed on-site.
