The Advanced Medical Simulation Lab at the Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a diverse array of educational modalities and deliveries, including virtual-reality clinical simulators, procedural task trainers, mobile simulation units and highly-adaptable simulated environments equipped with high-fidelity patient simulators.
Our experienced staff works closely with subject matter experts to support clinical professionals of varying scope and skill as they strive to meet their learning objectives. The goal of the advanced simulation program is to expose learners to complex high risk scenarios that enhance quality, patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Patient Care
Providing continued education through trans-disciplinary competency, education of new procedures and technologies, and improved communication between disciplines to promote excellent patient outcomes.
Teaching
The educational mission is to provide simulated environments to ensure knowledge of trans-disciplinary staff. Promote knowledge and utilization of the Parkview standard of care.
Research
The Sim Lab contributes to the research team’s efforts to advance healthcare knowledge. The use of simulation technology furthers the researchers’ ability to explore the use of devices and technology in the patient care setting.
