South Side High School senior Perry Stow will continue his baseball career at the University of Saint Franics.
Perry, a pitcher for the Archers, officially picked the Cougars during a ceremony Wednesday at the school.
Ever since my dad put a baseball in my hands, I've always wanted to play college baseball," Perry told the Parkview Sports Network. "It's just exciting for all my family and friends to come and watch and support me."
He plans to study exercise science.
Perry pitched in six games last season, recording a 4.61 earned run average. At the plate, Perry batted a .333 average with 11 runs batted in. He is looking to do big things this spring when South Side takes the field under new head coach Will Coursen-Carr.
