Panthers Moon, Moore heading to Purdue & IU

Two Snider High School football players will take their talents to the Big Ten Conference and eventually play against one another.

Seniors Domanick Moon and DJ Moore signed their national letters of intent on Wednesday during a signing day ceremony at the school.



Domanick is joining the Purdue Boilermakers. The All-Summit Athletic Conference, All-State selection earned the linebacker positional Indiana Mr. Football Award this past season. He tallied 86 total tackles (52 solo, 8 for loss), one sack, one interception, one caused fumble and one fumble recovery for the Panthers. He is undecided on a major.


DJ signed with the Indiana Hoosiers. He is rated a 4-star offensive lineman by Rivals and ESPN, and is the highest-rated offensive lineman to sign with IU in the rankings era, according to The Daily Hoosier. Nicknamed "Demon," he anchored an offensive line that helped the Panthers average 214.7 rush yards per game and 30 rushing touchdowns. He was selected to the Top 50 All-State team by the Indiana Football Coaches Association. DJ plans to study sports medicine.

Together, Domanick and DJ were intergral in Snider winning a share of the SAC championship this past fall.
