Leo High School senior Chloe Pierce will continue her volleyball career at Hillsdale College.
The Lions’ libero/defensive specialist signed her national letter of intent to join the NCAA Division II program in extreme lower Michigan during a signing ceremony Thursday, November 11, at the school.
“It’s surreal for me. I started club volleyball when I was in fourth grade. And since that time, I’ve had a huge passion for volleyball,” Chloe tells the Parkview Sports Network. “I’m so glad that I’m surrounded by friends and family. It’s so awesome that they can be here to celebrate this moment.”
Chloe led the Lions in digs (194), serving aces (50), and serves received (375). She surpassed 1,000 career digs during her senior season.
Chloe is a two-time All-NE8 1st team selection, was named to the AVCA Phenom All-America Watch List as a senior and earned 1A All-District honors as a sophomore at Blackhawk Christian.
During her time at Blackhawk Christian, she set the single-season digs record at 384.
Chloe plays club volleyball at Empowered Volleyball Academy, is a PSM Performance athlete in the Edge program, and has spent the fall semester interning with Parkview Sports Medicine.
“The biggest thing I’ve been working on is consistency in serve-receive,” she adds. “It’s definitely something I’ve kept in mind and tried to work at so that, going into college, I’ll be ready for it.”
In the classroom, Chloe earns a 4.1 grade point average and was named Academic All-State this past season.
She plans to study exercise science with the career goal of helping athletes in the medical field.
