Snider's Jenkins & Anderson make college choices official.

Two Snider High School seniors put pen to paper Wednesday, making their college athletic choices official.
 

Karson Jenkins will continue his basketball career at Barry University, an NCAA Division II school in Miami, Florida. As a junior, Karson scored 20.8 points per game on 50.8 percent field goal shooting. He added 3.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals. He earned 1st team All-Summit Athletic Conference and Underclass All-State Honorable Mention. His senior season starts November 27. Karson plans to study biology as an undergraduate student with hopes of eventually becoming a dentist.

Niesha Anderson signed her national letter of intent with the women's track & field program at Indiana State University. Niesha will throw shot put and discus for the Sycamores, an NCAA Division I program that competes in the Missouri Valley Conference. As a junior, Niesha placed 2nd in the shotput at SAC, 3rd at the Northrop Sectional, 3rd at the Marion Regional, and 5th at the state meet. In discuss, she placed 6th at both the SAC and sectionals meets and 5th at regionals.  She plans to study criminal justice.
