A Snider diver will represent the United States of America at the Junior Pan American Diving Championships later this fall.
Freshman Amelia Rinehart is one of 30 athletes named to the Team USA roster for the competition, which runs October 5 through 10 in Tuscon, Arizona.
She will compete in the girls B division, representing the 14-15 age division.
Amelia, who dives for the Indiana International Diving Club out of Fort Wayne, has become one of the top divers in America in just a short time. This summer, she placed 2nd at at the USA Diving Junior Nationals in the 3-meter board for girls her age.
She also trains with PSM Performance.
Amelia admittedly has Olympic dreams, hoping to qualify for the Summer Games in Paris 2024 or Los Angeles 2028.
