Lakeland's Douglas signs with Manchester University basketball and soccer

Lakeland senior Mason Douglas will continue playing two sports at the college level.

Mason signed to play basketball and soccer at Manchester University, a NCAA Division III school in Wabash County, during a ceremony May 20 at the school.

Mason earned All-Northeast Corner Conference honors in soccer, scoring 20 of the Lakers' 24 goals this past season. 

In basketball, he averaged 15.2 points over the course of his senior season, including a season-high 29 points in a February 9 win over Goshen.

Mason is also a sprinter and long jumper for the Lakeland boys track & field team.
