Concordia's Sam Hudson joins USF track

Concordia Lutheran High School senior Sam Hudson has officially joined the University of Saint Francis track & field program.

Sam signed with the Cougars during a ceremony May 10. He plans to compete in the decathlon and likely the heptathlon at USF, which competes in the NAIA Crossroads League.

Sam won the Summit Athletic Conference championship in shot put on May 6. He also placed second in the conference in the discus throw. 

Sam was an accomplished wrestler and football player for Concordia, as well. He won the 182-lb. SAC championship in January. He was named Honorable Mention All-SAC at the conclusion of his senior football season.

He plans to study business management.

Concordia is one of 26 high schools that partner with Parkview Sports Medicine for athletic training, nutrition, sports performance, athletic rehab and other sports medicine services for Cadet student-athletes.
