South Side High School senior Solani Licona will continue her distance running career at the University of Saint Francis.
Solani signed with the Cougars cross country and track & field programs during a ceremony April 28 at the school.
Solani earned All-Summit Athletic Conference honors in cross country as a senior, placing 5th at the league meet, 7th at the Bellmont Sectional, 8th at the West Noble Regional and 35th at semi-state. As a team, the Archers won their first-ever sectional championship and qualified for semi-state.
Solani plans to study exercise science.
