South Side High School is jumpstarting its Athletic Hall of Fame, and is looking for nominations for the 2021-22 induction class.
"As South Side approaches its 100th anniversary, we are excited to announce that we will have our first Hall of Fame induction in several years," Archers athletic director Torrey Curry says.
Student-athletes, coaches, teams and sports contributors to South Side athletics are eligible for the hall of fame. A brand new nomination form can be found here.
The submission window is open from April 13 to May 28. A committee is being formed to review submissions with the goal of announcing the Class of 2021-22 in July. The induction ceremony will likely be in July.
The South Side Athletics Hall of Fame dates back to 1923, and last had an inductee with Bernard Pollard in 2003.
