Angola High School junior had a remarkable showing at the Adidas Track Indoor Nationals to close out February.
Izaiah finished second in the mile run. His 4:11.4 was 1.4 seconds behind the national champion, breaks the Indiana high school indoor mile record of 4:12.27 set in 2019, and set his own personal record by 5 seconds for the indoor mile
Izaiah finished 8th nationally in the two-mile, running a 9:11.85. He ran a personal best 8:59.49 on February 7, just 5 seconds off the state indoor record for that event as well.
Izaiah won the IHSAA boys cross country individual state championship in October, and earned All-America honors Aat the RunningLane Cross Country Natonal Championships.
Izaiah is hopeful for a fruitful track season as a junior, after his sophomore track season was cancelled last year.
