East Noble's Anna Becker earns Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

East Noble High School senior Anna Becker has been named the Noble County recipient of the 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of Noble County, and gives Anna a four-year full-tuition scholarship to an Indiana college of her choice and a $900 yearly sipend for books and equipment.

Anna is involved in several Knights athletics teams, extracurriculars at school and organizations in the community. At East Noble, she runs cross country and track & field and plays basketball, coaches the Future Knights basketball team, helps with Champions Together, serves on student council, is part of the Athletic Leadership Council, National Honor Society, Trine Math Compeition Team, volunteers with the Kendallville Apple Festival and takes mission trips with her church, Avilla Calvary United Methodist.

Anna was one of eight finalists for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, and was selected through an application process that highlighted her community service, volunteerism, extracurricular activities, work experience, and leadership roles, according to the Community Foundation of Noble County.

Anna plans to study exercise science at the University of Indianapolis with hopes of eventually earning a doctoral degree in occupational therapy.
