West Noble High School distance runner Abraham Longoria is joining the cross country and track & field teams at Bethel University.
Longoria held a signing ceremony February 25 at the school, where he was joined by a supportive group of family, coaches and teammates.
Abraham Longoria finished in 5th in the Northeast Corner Conference meet in October. He followed it up with 7th place at the West Noble sectional, 14th at the West Noble regional and 39th at the New Haven semi-state. The Chargers won the NECC and sectional team titles.
He plans to study business administration.
In his junior track season, Longoria finished 3rd at the NECC meet and 5th at the East Noble sectional in the 3200. He was also part of a conference and sectional runner-up 4x800-meter relay team.
