HAVILAND, Ohio - Wayne Trace High School celebrated a variety of milestones in the last week.
The girls and boys basketball teams clinched Green Meadows Conference championships by winning their respective regular season games.
It is the first time in school history both the boys and girls teams won the Green Meadows Conference championship in the same season.
The girls team knocked off Tinora, 60-33, Thursday on the road. Wayne Trace and Antwerp share the conference title, which is the first for Wayne Trace since 2011.
Division IV No. 9 Wayne Trace (19-3) will face Kalida at Bluffton on Wednesday to kickoff the state tournament.
On the boys side, Division III No. 6 Wayne Trace (19-2) beat Tinora, 61-36, to win their 5th-straight GMC title.
The Wayne Trace boys team closes out the regular season hosting Ottoville on Friday.
