FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Blackhawk Christian volleyball player Abbie Boyer will continue her playing career in college.
The senior middle and outside hitter will join the volleyball team at Moody Bible Institute. Boyer signed with the Chicago school during a ceremony Tuesday at Blackhawk Christian.
Boyer was part of the 2016 1A volleyball state championship team as sophomore. This past season, she was named Academic All-State. She plays club volleyball at Summit Volleyball Club.
She plans to study counseling with plans of going to graduate school after earning a bachelor’s degree.
Blackhawk Christian is one of 26 high schools that partners with Parkview Sports Medicine for athletic training, nutrition, athletic rehabilitation and orthopedic services for Brave student-athletes.
