Perkins newest member of Heights' 1,000 career points club

November 27, 2019

Prairie Heights senior Mike Perkins has joined an elite list of Panthers basketball players: hitting 1,000 career points.

Perkins, a guard, achieved the feat in the November 27 season opener against Concord. He scored 22 points during the game, which Prairie Heights won 63-34.

In his first three seasons of varsity basketball, Perkins averaged 13.5 points per game.

Perkins is just the fourth Prairie Heights basketball player to hit the 1,000-point milestone.
