Angola's Meyer joins UIndy volleyball

Angola High School senior Ashlyn Meyer will continue her volleyball career at the collegiate level, joining the women's program at the University of Indianapolis.


Meyer held a signing ceremony November 13 at the school to make it official. The outside hitter tallied 339 kills (3.6 per set), 151 digs, 49 blocks and 17 service aces as a senior. She earned 1st team All-Northeast Corner Conference honors as a junior and senior, and was named All-Region (Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia) by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.  This season, the Lady Hornets won their first sectional title since 1996, won their 3 straight regular season conference championship and repeated as NECC Tournament champs.

Meyer also plays club volleyball with Team Pineapple in Angola.
