2019 High School Football Preview: Whitko Wildcats

August 16, 2019

Whitko football enters the 2019 season under a complete overhaul of the program. Longtime former Warsaw coach Phil Jensen has come out of retirement to take the reigns of a program that has 1-19 over the last 2 seasons. The Wildcats have worked 4 nights a week since June, played in a scrimmage and went to a team camp this summer to start the rebuild. Out of that, Jensen pinpoints a core group of about 20 players to lay a foundation. As for X's and O's, Whitko will keep it simple: I-formation offense and a 4-4 defense to build confidence while relying on several 2-way players.
