The graduation of 18 seniors leaves Lakeland filling a lot of holes on both sides of the ball. The Lakers return 1 player on offense and 4 to 5 on defense from a team that finished 6-4 in 2018. Lakeland participated in 9 scrimages over the summer to help develop guys who may see the varsity gridiron for the first time this fall. Even with all the roster changes, Keith Thompson is excited for his 15th season as head coach, saying his player have great attitudes and strong community support.
