FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Concordia Lutheran High School has been elevated football coach Tim Mannigel to athletic director, school officials announced Wednesday.
Mannigel, who was hired as an English teacher and head football coach in 1997, will stay on as football coach, but leave the classroom. The Cadets won the 3A state championship last season.
Mannigel follows Dean Doerffler, who will retire at the end of the month after 18 years at Concordia and 40 years in education. Mannigel will take over effective July 1.
