Snider's Westra, Beitler and Davis make college choices

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Three Snider High School seniors made their college plans official Thursday, inking with three different schools in two different sports.

Volleyball players Hannah Beitler and Emma Westra and girls basketball player Da’Leshia Davis held their signings in the Black & Gold Room at the school.

Beitler signed with Brescia University, an NAIA school in Owensboro, Kentucky. Beitler earned honorable mention All-Summit Athletic Conference this past season. She played her club volleyball with Summit Volleyball Club. She will play outside hitter for the Bears, plans to study psychology.

Westra signed her letter of intent with NAIA program Indiana Tech. earned 2nd-team All-SAC honors. She also plays for Summit Volleyball Club. Westra will play right-side hitter, and plans to study criminology.

Davis is heading to Indiana University Northwest, an NAIA school in Gary. Davis averaged 17.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game this past season, and was selected 1st-team All-SAC. She hopes to either be a dental hygienist or a math teacher.
