Northrop senior standout Nevaeh Jackson is the latest from her family to hit 1,000 career points.

The guard surpassed the milestone with an early three-pointer in 4A #5 Northrop's 53-44 victory over 3A #12 Bellmont at Dave E. Riley Court.

Nevaeh finished with 21 points in the game, and now sits at 1,016 points for her career, which has been split between two years at Northrop and two seasons at Carroll.

Nevaeh's twin sister, Saniya, scored her 1,000th career point last week. Their brother, Jalen, finished his high school career at Northrop with 1,498 career points. Their mother, Northrop girls head coach Katie Jackson, played high school basketball at North Side, and is the only North Side girl ever to hit the 1,000-point milestone (1,143 total). The youngest Jackson sibling, Swynn, is averaging 7.1 points per game in her freshman season with the Lady Bruins.

Nevaeh will continue to play basketball at the next level, as she and Saniya signed their national letters of intent with Valparaiso University in November.
