Heritage senior volleyball player Kate Zellers will continue her career at Ohio Northern University.
Kate put pen to paper on Thursday, signing with the NCAA Division III program in Ada, Ohio. The Polar Bears play in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Zellers had a stellar career at Heritage. She tallied 664 career kills, including more than 200 as a senior. She added 46 aces, 36 blocks and 199 digs this past season. Kate was a 1st team All-Allen County Athletic Conference selection for her senior and junior seasons, and earned 2nd team All-ACAC as a sophomore. She was also named an Indiana North All-Star this fall. Heritage swept the ACAC regular season and tournament championships the last four years.
Kate plays club volleyball for Empowered Volleyball Academy, where she and her 17 Elite Black team won the USA Volleyball Junior National Championship over the summer. Kate had the championship winning kill.
Kate plans to study at Ohio Northern.
