Five Snider seniors sign on to athletic plans after high school

Snider High School held a signing ceremony Wednesday for five seniors who are committing to take part in college athletics.

Baseball player Kade Hinton signed with Vincennes University, a junior college in Southwest Indiana. Kade is a midinfielder for the Panthers. He's batting a .397 average this season with three home runs and 23 runs batted in. He plans to study in the sports medicine field.

Soccer player Layla Huneck will continue her career on the pitch at Manchester University, an NCAA Division III program. Layla talied three goals and 8 assists (14 points) as a senior. She plans to study communications.

Hunter Perkins will play tennis at Indiana Tech. 

Chris Diers is joining the eSports program at Siena Heights University, an NAIA school in Adrian, Michigan.

Jakobe Kidd is heading to Edgewood College, an NCAA Division III school in in Madison, Wisconsin, for eSports.
