Second time honored in past three years
WABASH, Ind. – Feb. 17, 2026 – Parkview Wabash Hospital was recently named one of the 150 2026 Best Places to Work in Indiana.
It’s the fifth time Parkview Wabash has made the statewide Best Places to Work list since 2018 and the second time in the past three years. Parkview Wabash was the only hospital across the state to be recognized on this year’s list.
The statewide survey and awards program is designed to evaluate participating organizations and honor those with the highest levels of employee satisfaction and engagement in the workplace. This is the 21st year for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce initiative.
“Our dedicated and enthusiastic caregivers and co-workers are what makes Parkview Wabash an exceptional community hospital,” said Deb Potempa, market president, Parkview Health South. “Parkview’s culture of excellence creates a workplace that supports our co-workers in both their personal and professional lives, allowing them to bring their best to work every day. Many of our co-workers are Wabash County residents, too, so taking care of their neighbors is a source of pride and dedication to their community.”
“The Best Places to Work program is a great way for organizations to take the temperature of their culture and how it’s resonating with today’s workers,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “We salute each of this year’s winners for their commitment to displaying best practices in their workplaces, which are enabling them to attract and retain employees, as well as drive increased productivity and overall success.”
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure employee experience. The combined scores determine the top companies and final rankings. Workforce Research Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Indiana, analyzed the data, and determined the honorees and rankings.
Parkview Wabash Hospital has previously made Indiana’s Best Places to Work list three years consecutively from 2018-2020 and most recently in 2024. The hospital has also been recognized for excellent quality and outcomes by the Chartis Center for Rural Health and received numerous 5-star ratings from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) in categories including nurse communication, staff responsiveness and hospital quiet.
Parkview provides numerous benefits and perks to its workforce of more than 17,500 co-workers across Indiana and northwest Ohio. On top of competitive compensation, insurance and retirement benefits, Parkview offers multiple ancillary perks including a quarterly “lifestyle benefit” stipend co-workers can use for personal purchases of their choosing; flexible pay options allowing co-workers to access their pay within the normal two-week cycle; tuition reimbursement programs for select positions; a volunteer time-off program; an in-house MyWell-Being department supporting both physical and mental health; and opportunities to receive free admission to seasonal community events, among others.
Parkview has been frequently recognized as a top workplace in the nation, ranking as the No. 5 Most Loved company in 2025; receiving its first certification as a national Great Place to Work; earning positions on Inspiring Workplaces Top 100 North America and Global lists two years in a row; and being named a Forbes Best-in-State Employer for four consecutive years.
“Providing our co-workers with an excellent workplace environment empowers them to deliver high-quality care,” said Dr. Ray Dusman, president, physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. “Our physicians, nurses, clinical staff and administrative workers all receive the support they need to fully engage in their roles and grow in their careers. At Parkview, our patients receive care from people who care.”
The rankings will be announced at an awards ceremony May 13, 2026, and then published in the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine after the event. For more information on the Best Places to Work in Indiana program, visit www.BestPlacestoWorkIndiana.com.
