One of three Parkview hospitals recognized by Chartis Center for Rural Health
WABASH, Ind. – Nov. 21, 2025 – Parkview Wabash Hospital was recently awarded a Performance Leadership Award by The Chartis Center for Rural Health in the outcomes category.
Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Performance Leadership Awards program recognizes the Top 25% performance among rural hospitals in quality, outcomes and/or patient perspective.
It’s the fourth time Parkview Wabash Hospital has received a Performance Leadership Award since 2016, most recently as a dual honoree for quality and outcomes in 2022. Parkview Wabash was one of three hospitals recognized by Chartis this year, with Parkview LaGrange Hospital recognized for quality and Parkview Huntington Hospital also recognized for outcomes in 2025.

The Performance Leadership Awards program is based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, a comprehensive and objective framework for assessing how rural hospitals perform. INDEX benchmarks are relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to measure performance across multiple areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
Parkview Wabash Hospital was named one of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Best Places to Work in 2024 and the hospital has received numerous top ratings through the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) in recent years for categories including most recommended hospitals, nurse communication, staff responsiveness and hospital quiet.
