Direct Access Testing

Parkview Health Laboratories offers Direct Access Testing (DAT) for select lab tests. For these tests, DAT eliminates the need for a physician's order. This convenient service provides an out-of-pocket option for those without health insurance, or who don't want to file a claim through their health insurance. Tests available may vary by location.

Results will be received through MyChart and can be printed on your desktop computer. If you don’t have a MyChart account, you will be asked to create one. To create a MyChart account, visit the MyChart website.

Payment via check or debit/credit card is required at the time of service. Parkview Health Laboratories cannot bill Medicare, Medicaid or your personal insurance provider for DAT services. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

How it works

Visit a DAT location. No appointment needed.
Once inside, you will choose the tests you’d like to have performed and be asked to register. The Laboratory staff will then collect your specimen and send it to a Parkview Lab for testing. Results will be in your MyChart account as soon as the test is completed.
