The physicians and staff of the Valve Clinic at the Parkview Heart Institute can help you improve the quality of life for your patients with moderate to severe aortic stenosis.

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR®) is an option to individuals with moderate stenosis. With the addition of the mitral valve repair program, Parkview Heart Institute is proud to offer a robust valve treatment program to an even greater number of patients.

Patient visits are scheduled between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., three days monthly. The Valve Clinic at the Parkview Heart Institute is located on the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus. Parkview Heart Institute is the region’s only hospital dedicated to the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Indications for referral

Any patient with moderate to severe aortic stenosis or mitral regurgitation. The most common referrals are high-risk patients, including those who may not tolerate surgical options.

Treatment options

  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) – offering four approaches for catheter delivery
  • Minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (AVR) with and without sternal incision
  • Traditional open-heart AVR
  • Transcatheter mitral valve clipping - a revolutionary minimally invasive treatment available to select patients who have not had success using other methods to treat mitral valve regurgitation or prolapse, including surgery.
