Diabetes Support Group - Noble County

Our monthly dietitian-led Diabetes Support Group is a welcoming space to learn, share, and feel supported on your journey. Each session features expert guest speakers from a variety of specialties, including weight management, optometry, wound care, pharmacy, and exercise physiology, who offer helpful tips for staying healthy and preventing complications. You’ll receive evidence-based nutrition guidance, learn new skills, and have your questions answered in a supportive, encouraging environment. This group is open to anyone looking to better manage their diabetes and connect with others on a similar journey.  

Cost: Free 

Registration is recommended.

Homemade Baby Food

Baby food can be easy, nutritious, and affordable to make at home! This interactive class, led by Crystal Ruisard, MHS, RDN, LD, community outreach dietitian, Parkview Center for Healthy Living, will cover: 

  • Signs that your baby is ready for solids 
  • How to safely prepare and store homemade baby food 
  • Ways to introduce a variety of flavors, textures, and nutrients during the first year of life 

Participants will take home their prepared baby food and receive a baby food bowl set. This program requires at least 3 participants and allows up to 6.    

Cost: $20

Type 1 Diabetes Support Group

Living with diabetes presents a host of challenges and lifestyle changes – but you don’t have to navigate them alone. If you or a loved one is living with type 1 diabetes or a related condition, it can be helpful to hear from others who share your experience. Join Parkview’s endocrinology experts each month for helpful group discussions and insights on how to manage type 1 diabetes.

Cost: Free

Schedule a free 20-minute consultation with Crystal Ruisard, MHS, RDN, LD, community outreach dietitian, Parkview Center for Healthy Living. When reserving your appointment, please specify the topics you'd like to discuss to allow Crystal time to prepare in advance and ensure you make the most of your time, whether the visit is in person or via phone. Crystal will contact you to confirm which option is preferred.
