Watch the video: Mindful Reset: The power of story
I once knew a little boy who was five years old when his mother moved out. She was gone for several months, and when she came back, she had a new baby and a new husband. The little boy welcomed her with a list of 35 things that he promised to her that he would do every day if she would never leave him again.
I still get choked up thinking about that story. It reminds me of the power of story in helping people to understand what's really important. And for me, what's really important is looking for the goodness and finding the goodness. An appreciative inquiry is that framework that helps us to look for and find good.
So, prime the pump of your brain to notice goodness. Look for and find something good today. What are you searching for? And are the stories you're listening to inspiring you to do good and find hope in a world that sometimes struggles?
