For centuries, bells have rung. They've called us into present moments to notice the time of day and the intention. They’ve called us to come home, to go to church. In my youth, I remember they rang morning, noon and night to remind me to pray, to call in the angels to help me and to guide me.
In the ringing of the bell, I notice there's a bit of vibration, just like the ripples on a pond. And after the toll, there's silence, just like with life, the beginning and the ending.
The bell helps me to recall the sacredness in the ordinary and the extraordinary of being present to my life. I invite you to listen this holiday season.
